| brilliant straw-yellow colour with a green shimmer.
Very fine, fruity (apples, peaches), uplifted varietal aroma
combined with very well integrated oak spice on the nose.
Clean, elegant, grapey flavour, medium bodied with a round
and fresh mouth-watering finish. When cellared well, this wine
may be kept for 3 to 5 years. |
| Technical notes |
| The fruit was sourced from the Haberlehof estate vineyard above Salorno at an
altitude of 480 to 520 metres (1,500 – 1,710 feet). Stony and
sandy soil. Rather cool mesoclimate with important day and
night temperature variations.
Age of the vines: 20 - 45 years.
Harvested: 7 - 15 September 2009.
Yield: 56 hl / ha.
Vinification: fermented and aged on the fine lees for 3
months in stainless steel tanks; this is followed by maturation
for 6 months.
Alcohol: 12,5 % by vol.
Acidity: 5.4 g / litre.
Bottled: August 2010. |
