Tasting notes
Color Intense violet-red. Aroma Well-balanced aromas that recall black cherries, fines herbs, black pepper, and a bit of chocolate. Palate Well-rounded with big body and good concentration. Pleasing fruity finish.

Wine Advocate 88 points (Dec 2012)
The 2010 Barrel Reserve Carmenere is aged for six to eight months in barrel. It has a crisp nose of black currant pastille and blueberry, eschewing those mocha notes prevalent on so many other Carmenere wines. The palate is medium-bodied with bright blackberry and bilberry notes on the entry. It has crisp acidity and a well-defined, vivacious finish with a tang of lemon peel on the aftertaste. Drink now-2017.

Wine maker notes
Carmenere Barrel Reserve is an intense violet red in color. Spicy notes such as black pepper stand out on the nose, along with fruits such as blueberries and blackberries. The palate is well balanced, with soft, ripe tannins and a pleasing finish. It is the perfect companion to pastas, Chilean food, stews and casseroles.
