From the highest elevations of our Mount Veeder vineyards, early ripening red varietals have been planted for their compatibility with these vineyards specific growing conditions. The result is a layered Cabernet Sauvignon based wine with significant amounts of Syrah, Merlot and Malbec that is inherently complex. This proprietary blend expresses red currant and supple texture.

Ultimate Beverage Challenge 86 points (May 2012) A pretty fragrance of cherries and a hint of vanilla opens on to ripe berry and plum flavors, with a rich, spiced finish. Assertive tannins, yet still ripe and rounded. Wine Advocate 86 points (Dec 2009) The 2006 Block 19 Cuvee, a blend of the major Bordeaux varietals, exhibits a note of graphite, and is solidly made, but is essentially a one-dimensional quaffing red. While it is not unrealistically priced, there are plenty of other similarly or lower-priced reds that offer far more character and personality.
